Anytime Anywhere Engineers: Syngenta - Jealott's Hill
Jealott’s Hill International Research Centre is a key site in Syngenta’s global Research and Development network. With over 90 years tradition of innovation, it is the company’s largest site for new agrochemical R&D and product support.
Key activities at Jealott’s Hill include research into the discovery of new active ingredients, new formulation technologies, product safety, technical support of our product range and seeds research.
The site houses a number of centres of scientific excellence, both chemical and biological, that partner with the UK and global research base to support our global activities and keep our science world-class.
Simulations
The modern, eco-friendly library represents a significant investment in the future of all our students. The building, in the centre of the campus, is designed to be conducive to study and houses a wide range of learning resources and services.
It is home to the Engineering Design Centre (EDC), which is used by Engineering students and allows them to use this as their experience of being in the workplace. The computers in this area are more powerful than standard desktops and have a full range of software that is available to use such as: Modelling packages such as Matlab, 3D CAD, FEA, CFD office applications and communication tools and electronic circuit simulation software. All are designed to support the students with their applied learning.
